In the name of
Allah, Gracious, Merciful.
1We sent Noah to his people: “Warn your people before there comes
to them a grievous penalty.”
2He said: “O my people! I am to you a warner clear and open:
3“That you should worship Allah, fear Him and obey me:
4“So He may forgive you your sins and give you respite for a
stated term: For when the term given by Allah is accomplished, it cannot be
put forward: if you only knew.”
5He said: “O my Lord! I have called to my people night and day:
6“But my call only increases their flight from the right.” |

7“And every time I have called to them that you might forgive
them, they have thrust their fingers into their ears, covered themselves up
with their garments, grown obstinate, and given themselves up to arrogance.
8“So I have called to them aloud;
9“Further, I have spoken to them in public and secretly in
private.
10“Saying ‛Ask forgiveness from
your Lord; for He is often forgiving;
11‛He will send rain to you in
abundance;
12‛And give you increase in
wealth and sons; and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers.’
13“What is the matter with you that you place not your hope for
kindness and long suffering in Allah
14“And seeing that it is He that has created you in diverse

15“See not how Allah has created the seven heavens, one above
another.
16And made the moon a light in their midst, and made the sun as a
lamp?
17And Allah has produced you from the earth growing gradually.
18And in the end He will return you into the earth and raise you
forth?
19And Allah has made the earth for you as a carpet.
20That you may go about therein in spacious roads.’
21Noah said: “O my Lord! they have disobeyed me but they follow
men whose wealth and children give them no increase but only loss.
22And they have devised a tremendous plot. |

23And they have said to each other, “abandon not your gods;
abandon neither Wadd nor Suwa neither Yaguth nor Yauq nor Nasr.”1
24They have already misled many; and grant you no increase to the
wrongdoers but in straying.
25Because of their sins they were drowned and were made to enter
the fire: and they found in lieu of Allah none to help them.2
26And Noah said: “O my Lord! Leave not of the unbelievers a
single one on earth!3
27“For if You do leave them, they will but mislead Your devotees
and they will breed none but wicked ungrateful ones.
28“O my Lord! Forgive me my parents all who enter my house in
faith and believing men and believing women: and to the wrongdoers grant no
increase but in perdition!”4 |

1. These Arabians idols are mentioned by
Muhammad as if they were Antediluvian idols. They were idols of the Noahic
period as Allah wants us to believe here.
2. The people of Noah suffered the deluge, but
not the fire yet. The fire is reserved by God for all sinners after the
Antichrist has been revealed and after the Day of Judgment.
3. Noah, a righteous man, did not at any time
say a prayer as that. He only did what the Lord God Almighty told him to do,
which was to build an Ark for the salvation of the world of animal and human
life. Genesis 6-11 chronicles the word of God Almighty and Noah’s obedience.
4. It was God’s decision to destroy the world
because of the increase in sin and wickedness. Genesis 6:5-9 reads:
The LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in
the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only
evil continually. And the LORD was sorry that he had made man on the earth,
and it grieved him to his heart. |
|
So the LORD said, "I will blot out man whom I have
created from the face of the land, man and animals and creeping things and
birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them." But Noah found
favor in the eyes of the LORD. These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a
righteous man, blameless in his generation. Noah walked with God. |
