1. Knowing this for a fact, I do accept Yusuf Ali’s
commentary as a true confession to the fact. The Qur’an as we have it today
is the product of man, not Allah as claimed by Muslims. Yusuf Ali states in
his commentary that the arrangement of the Qur’an is by universal consent,
meaning that it was agreed that the Qur’an be arranged as thus.
2 According to Yusuf Ali,
“If we translate the English word “guide,” we shall have to say: ‘Guide us
to and in the straight way.’ For we may be wandering aimlessly, and the
first step is to find the way; and the second need is to keep in the way.
Our own wisdom may fail in either case. The straight way is often the narrow
way, or the steep way, which many people shun. |

By the world’s perversity, the straight Way is sometimes
stigmatized and the crooked way praised. How are we to judge? We must ask
for God’s guidance. With a little spiritual insight we shall see which are
the people who walk in the light of God’s grace, and which are those that
walk in the darkness of His wrath. This also would help our judgment. (1.6)
This shows how sincerely lost the Muslims are. They have and know the right
verbage but lack the right application. Paul says in 2 Timothy 3:5: “They will hold to an outward form of godliness but
deny its power. Stay away from such people.” |
